Automobiles have contributed significantly to the development of modern society by meeting many of the needs for mobility in daily life. Unlike any other sector, the automotive industry's explosive growth has accelerated human society's transition from a primitive to a highly sophisticated industrial society. The automobile industry, as well as the industries that support it, are the backbone of the global economy, employing the majority of the employed population.

The vast number of motor vehicles in use across the world, on the other hand, has created and caused immense major environmental and human health problems. Pollution, anthropogenic climate change, and the rapid depletion of the world's natural resources.

The depletion of the Earth's hydrocarbon supplies is now a major concern. And, in the last decade, the rise in fuel prices has never been reversed. As a result, consumers must import oil and rely on the countries that produce it. This is an especially delicate subject in the Middle East, where political unrest disrupted oil deliveries to Western countries in 1973 and 1977. The Gulf War, the Iran–Iraq war, and the continual surveillance of the region by US and ally forces, as well as the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, all come at a human and financial cost. The cost of Western economies' reliance on a volatile oil supply could be high. Indeed, a scarcity of oil produces a significant slowdown in the economy, resulting in perishable commodities being ruined, lost commercial chances being lost, and eventually the inability to run firms.

In recent decades, the research and development activities related to transportation have emphasized the development of high efficiency, clean, and safe transportation. Electric vehicles, hybrid electric vehicles, and fuel cell vehicles have been typically proposed to replace conventional vehicles in the near future. And as it is already known that E vehicles are the best alternative for the automobiles that costs high fuelling prices, whereas consume very little or no gasoline, these vehicles offer reduced operating and maintenance expenses. Lithium-ion batteries are the industry standard for modern battery electric vehicles since they last a long time and store energy well.
